Radcliffe: I'm drunk in some 'Harry Potter' scenes

Daniel Radcliffe admitted he was drunk while filming some scenes for the "Harry Potter" movies during a period in his life where he was drinking "nightly," the young star said in an interview.

"I have a very addictive personality. It was a problem. People with problems like that are very adept at hiding it. It was bad. I don't want to go into details, but I drank a lot and it was daily -- I mean nightly," Radcliffe said to British celebrity news magazine Heat earlier this week.

Go behind the scenes with 'Harry Potter'

If, after seven books, eight films and countless commercial product tie-ins, you still haven’t had enough of J.K. Rowling’s world of Harry Potter, then you’re in luck.

Warner Bros. announced this week that in spring 2012 it will begin offering a behind-the-scenes tour of the elaborate studios just outside London where the Potter productions have been filmed for the past 10 years.

Box office heading toward record despite economy

(Reuters) - A popular boy wizard, comic-book heroes and some foul-mouthed women are leading Hollywood toward a record-breaking summer despite the sour economy and high unemployment resulting in tightened consumer spending.

Underscoring the notion that movies are recession-proof, U.S. and Canadian ticket sales are expected to finish nearly 5 percent higher than a year ago thanks to the "Harry Potter" finale and other big-budget sequels plus raunchy adult comedies such as "Bridesmaids."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie chartered an entire train to take their brood up to Scotland from their current base in London.

Brangelina spent thousands of pounds chartering the Virgin Pendolino for their trip from Euston to Glasgow, where Brad is set to shoot scenes for his new film World War Z.

The couple took nine-year-old Maddox, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, five-year-old Shiloh and three-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne on the journey as a special treat.

Tickets for ‘The Making of Harry Potter’ Studio Tour Will Go On Sale October 13

If you, like me, have always been bummed that Hogwarts wasn’t actually real, have we got some news for you. No, the wizarding academy hasn’t suddenly decided to open its doors to us Muggles — but Warner Bros. will be opening up a tour of its Leavesden soundstages, where much of the films were shot. Called “Warner Bros. Studio Tour London — The Making of Harry Potter,” it’s as close as you’re bound to get to actually attending Professor Snape’s Potions class in this lifetime.
