'The Dark Knight Rises' Trailer Made Entirely From Legos

The world hasn't given us everything related to "The Dark Knight Rises." Not yet.

Until today, that is. That's because today, we found a shot-for-shot remake of the film's trailer, made entirely out of Legos.

YouTube movie editing whiz Paranickfilmz painstakingly reproduced the trailer of the insta-classic final installment of the Christopher Nolan trilogy using the toys. Is it too much to ask that he just go ahead and do the whole movie? We would nominate it for the Oscars... of our hearts.

ScreenJunkies seems to have a good thing going with their “Honest Trailers” series, and their latest coincides with today’s DVD release of The Dark Knight Rises (see our guide to this week’s DVD releases). In keeping with the sheer number of complaints a person could have about The Dark Knight Rises, this one clocks in at nearly five minutes. That’s impressive nit picking.

“The movie that will mildly entertain you while you’re watching it, but will ultimately anger and disappoint you when you really start to think about it.”

The recent rumor that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is being considered for the Batman role in Warner Bros.’ planned Justice League of America movie had fans speculating about how the open-ended conclusion to Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises might tie in to that superhero ensemble film. Is D.C. trying to build a universe the way Marvel managed to do with origin stories that lead into a bigger film?

What Bane Almost Looked Like in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ hits DVD and Blu-ray on December 4th (just in time for the holidays!) and a few early copies have leaked in advance of the official release. One of the behind-the-scenes documentaries included on the discs shows off some behind-the-scenes photos of Tom Hardy as Bane plus some concept art on what Bane almost looked like.
