James Franco Seeks $500,000 in Crowdfunding for Movie Trilogy

James Franco is looking for $500,000 worth of backers via crowdfunding site Indiegogo to fund “Palo Alto Stories,” three feature films based on pieces from his short story collection about his hometown. The actor, director, artist and film professor has recruited four young helmers — Nina Ljeti, Vladimir Bourdeau, Bruce Thierry Cheung, and Gabrielle Demeestere — to adapt and direct “Memoria,” “Killing Animals” and “Yosemite,” fictional stories that are nonetheless based on Franco’s high school experiences in the wealthy Northern California town.

Billy Crystal & John Goodman Happily Reunite To Enroll at 'Monsters University'

I was in my first year of college when Monsters Inc. came out. It was a grand time when the world was at my fingertips and going backwards wasn’t an option. As time moved forward, I never really thought much about Mike and Sully except when I could randomly catch them on TV. 11 years later, it’s almost like time travel was a possibility because Mike and Sully have returned to embark on their first year of Monsters University.

Director Morgan Neville Shifts The Spotlight in Music Documentary 'Twenty Feet From Stardom'

We’ve all done it. We’ve either been in a car, a hotel lobby or in the shower. The location may change but the act is the same. As we’re singing along to a song on the radio, we assume our words are mimicking the artist it’s listed as - the Bruce Springsteen, Sting and Rolling Stones of the world. But in reality, we’re not. In fact we’re most probably singing along with some very important but unheralded background singers.

What Would Happen If Superman Punched You In Real Life?

This is a video of Jake explaining what would happen if Superman punched you in real life. SURPRISE: basically you'd be torn apart at the molecular level in a nuclear explosion. Unless he made the mistake of punching me, in which case he'd break every bone in his hand. "Oh right, because you're soooooooo tough." *unbuttons collar to reveal Kryptonite pendant* Not tough, just smart. "That's quartz." Man, yard sale people are LIARS.

Loki Won't Be Back For The Avengers 2

Loki, the Asgardian villain played by Tom Hiddleston, has had a great run in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not only was he one of the best parts of Kenneth Branagh's Thor, he took center stage and took on a team of superheroes at once in Joss Whedon's The Avengers. We know his story isn't over, as he will again be back for Alan Taylor's Thor: The Dark World (due out in November), but his future beyond that is a question mark.
