MARVEL STUDIOS UNVEILS PHASE 3 OF MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE

This morning, during a special event at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed the films that will make up Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, featuring a mix of fan-favorite characters and several heroes who will be making their big-screen debuts.

NEIL PATRICK HARRIS TO HOST THE 2015 OSCARS®

Imax to Release Fox's 'The Maze Runner'

Imax is supersizing Twentieth Century Fox's The Maze Runner. Budgeted in the $30 million range, the movie will get a wide release domestically on Sept. 19. The Imax release of The Maze Runner will be digitally remastered to fit its big screens, offering crystal-clear images and digital audio. The Hollywood studio pic also will be released internationally in Imax theaters starting Sept. 11.

First Superman comic book sells for record-breaking $3.2 million

An original Superman comic, sold for 10 cents at a West Virginia newsstand in 1938, was purchased at auction Sunday night for $3.2 million, making it the most expensive comic book ever sold. The copy of Action Comics No. 1, which features a caped Superman lifting an automobile, was sold on EBay by Darren Adams of Pristine Comics in Federal Way, Wash. The previous record for a comic book was $2.1 million, for another Action Comics No. 1, sold by the actor Nicolas Cage in 2011.
